Farhang Mehr

Farhang Mehr served as Iran's governor in OPEC, the Chancellor of Shiraz University (formerly called Pahlavi University) in Shiraz, and revolutionized Iran's oil and insurance industries.
The former Deputy Prime Minister of Iran and the only Zoroastrian to achieve such a high political rank in that country, Mehr has lived in United States since the Iranian Revolution in 1979.
Now Professor Emeritus of International Relations at Boston University, Mehr lives with his family in Massachusetts. He continues to serve and support Zoroastrian community worldwide.
Among the books he has written is Zoroastrian Tradition: An Introduction to the Ancient Wisdom of Zarathustra. His biography, Triumph Over Discrimination, was written in 2000 by Lylah M. Alphonse.
