[edit] Facts

As a former annual passholder (Anaheim) who visited the show frequently, I know the following facts about the attraction.

First, the only essential component is the Columbia (turned into Captain Hook's pirate ship for the show), and the Rivers of America. All other sequences have backups which can take the part of the regular sequence.

Second, the show, once started, cannot be restarted if something goes wrong and the show cuts out. This was confirmed to me by a cast member after the show stopped during one performance.

Third, it is virtually impossible to photograph any aspect of the show without knowing what you are doing and having the right equipment and film. The light level is way too low for most cameras (and flashes don't work at that distance), and the moving equipment travels way too fast for that to compensate for it. The only way to get decent photographs is to have a VERY fast film (1600) and know what you are doing. Maybe modern digital cameras and recorders can do it, but the principles remain.

Facts should be cited from verifiable sources. Sorry, we don't contribute our own experiences or things we heard from other people. Disneyfile 20:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kingdom Hearts II prank

Hi, I just wanted to point out that the version of the show at Disney-MGM studios, according to this article, has some of the Organization XIII members, from the Kingdom Hearts series of video games, as villians. Disney theme parks, as I believe, do not have the license to have Kingdom Hearts components or attractions yet. Therefore, I believe that this was a prank by a KH fan just hoping for a ride based on his favourite video game. I will delete the Organization XIII names until someone has proof that they really DO appear. --172.162.80.93 23:45, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Agreed...but I think that entire section the person put down is a prank...all those new villains i've never seen any proof for. Anyone else agree that "New Villain" section should be deleted? Small5th 00:26, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Show technology

The most interesting aspect of the show is the bizarre technology that goes into it, especially the water-screen projection. This would be a great addition to the article if anyone can find out about it. David McCabe 01:24, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Some info on Disneyland's large hydraulic light towers that are used for the show would be nice too. I see so many amazed looks as they take these things out of the ground for each nights show.

[edit] WTH?????

Who in the world butchered this article and why???? it was perfect as it is??? Small5th 16:43, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Please be specific about any changes the bothered you. Disneyfile 20:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article tone

Maybe it's just me, but this article reads like one big advertisement, particularly the synopses which form the bulk of the article. The tone is POV, unencyclopedic and basically the whole article is unsourced. Why does this supposed encyclopedia article have information on pricing, when to arrive to get the best seating, what ticket packages to purchase and which restaurants to eat at? I'm surprised the 800 number isn't listed. For now I'm adding some tags to the article and/or synopsis sections. MarkBrooks 01:05, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
