Fanore

Fanore is a small village in Co. Clare, Ireland. It is situated on the Atlantic Ocean. It is renowned for its beautiful sandy beach from which its name is derived (fainne or - gaelic for ring of gold). It consists of a pub, and a post office/shop & restaurant. It has a surf school in close proximity to the beach. One of the many special things about fanore is the fact that it lies on the edge of the Burren which is world renowned for its unique flora and fauna.

Fanore has been featured many times on Irish television due to some of its inhabitants.
