Fanad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Fanad Peninsula lies between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay on the north coast of County Donegal in Ireland. There is a signposted scenic tour around the peninsula.
Fanad is famed for its rugged coastline, providing many fine areas for pollack fishing. Boasts of the monsters caught can often be heard in the single pub on the peninsula, the Atlantic house.
Fanad is well-known locally for its sporting achievements. The local Gaelic Athletic Association club [1] has won many underage titles in the last 10 years. The local soccer team Fanad United has consistently been among the best intermediate soccer teams in the country
