Famous Players-Lasky Corporation was an American motion picture company formed in 1916 from the merger of Famous Players Film Company and the Jesse L. Lasky Feature Play Company. The deal, guided by Adolph Zukor, saw this new entity make a concurrent deal with W. W. Hodkinson that resulted in Famous Players-Lasky Corporation becoming the parent company of Hodkinson’s Paramount Pictures. Famous Players is still the name of a chain of movie theaters in Canada and is currently owned by Scott D. McAdam who resides in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Famous Players Lasky Corporation operated laboratories at Sixth Avenue and Pierce Avenue, Long Island City, NY around 1925.
