From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fallingbrook Middle School is a school located at 5187 Fallingbrook Drive in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Fallingbrook Middle School has been named one of the top 40 schools in Canada according to Today's Parent Magazine for its program Exploratories (or Pathways), a unique concept where students can choose their classes. The school, which opened in 1996, currently has 800 students. The school's mascot is the Fallingbrook Falcon. The school has a house system to encourage students to have school spirit, make good choices etc. The four houses are named after four falcons: Kestrel, Merlin, Peregrine and Saker. At the end of the year, the house with the most points wins a trip to a certain place (usually Playdium).
Fallingbrook Middle School's teachers created a speech contest called "Excellence in Eloquence." Which also include other schools in the neighborhood. It's a good way to write about your favourite topic and spread the word about what happens in the word. Three of the best will be chosen for each grade (6-8) and will then compete with others.
Fallingbrook Middle School is also the first middle school to put up an electric sign board in different languages, so parents that speak another language can know what's going on. (usually it says welcome in different languages)
The learning environment in this school is one of the best in all of Peel with a wide variety of teachers that are really pasionate about their jobs and they do everything they can to make this school the best that it can be
