In February 1996, Céline announced the launch of her Falling into You Tour in support of her new album. Céline and her band toured Australia, Canada, the United States, and many countries in Europe and Asia. In all, the tour lasted more than a year, with over a hundred shows in 17 different countries. The sold out tour began on March 18, 1996 in Perth, Australia and continued to major cities around the world. It ended on June 26, 1997 in Zurich, Switzerland. In June, Céline toured the biggest stadiums of Europe and sang before huge crowds ranging from 35,000 and 70,000 people.
