Falling In Between is the latest release by veteran American rock musicians, Toto. The album was released in February 2006 on the Italian label Frontiers Records, with a world tour to follow. It is the band's first studio release since Through the Looking Glass in 2002, and is the first to include keyboardist Greg Phillinganes. He joins original Toto members David Paich, Bobby Kimball and Steve Lukather, plus Mike Porcaro (who joined in 1982) and Simon Phillips (who joined in 1992, replacing the late Jeff Porcaro). Another Porcaro brother, Steve, helped found the group and continues to work in the studio with the band, though he quit as a full-time member following the Fahrenheit album in 1987.
Guest artists appearing on the album include former Toto singer Joseph Williams, sax man Tom Scott, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, and the Chicago horn section of Lee Loughnane, Walter Parazaider, and James Pankow. Jason Scheff, also from Chicago, sings backup on a couple of songs. This album has been a huge success for the band in Europe and Asia, topping several Top-Ten charts. The single "Bottom Of Your Soul" was number 1 for several weeks in Europe.
