Fallen Monument Park

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fallen Monument Park is a park in Moscow, Russia.

During the Soviet era, the park was the site of several large statues, notably one of Joseph Stalin. When the communist regime ended in 1991, the statues were toppled, but have been left in place in their fallen form. The now recumbent statues act as park seats. Some scenes in the movie GoldenEye and one of the levels in the videogame of the same name were based on this park, although in both the park was located in St. Petersburg.
