Excerpted from ABC Family Website

Here you will meet Faith Arella – a very special girl who embarks on a journey around the world in search of her past and the secret to her true destiny. Faith's story is revealed in a new online event – an Alternate Reality Game that blurs the line between reality and fiction. Throughout the summer of 2006, clues and characters will be revealed on websites, emails and even in real places scattered around the world.

NOW your first step is to locate The Oculus – a mysterious online object that holds all the secrets. Each week The Oculus reveals a new quest for you. Then Join the Investigation on the Ocular Effect website. Registered Players will receive news of discoveries and other information via email. After you have registered you will also have access to special features on the oculareffect.com site and the message boards to search for information that will help you piece together the story of Faith Arella, and help her discover her destiny.

This game blurs the lines of reality and fiction to tell a story across many platforms. It's not always clear where the story ends and reality begins, which is part of the game itself. Exploration is the key element of game play. Collaboration with other players via the message boards can also be part of game play.
