Fake Swedish are an American rock band based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The band was formed by Joe Romeo and Eric Haugen in 2002. The pair grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey and left in search of greener pastures. The Fake Swedish sound has been mainly categorized as Psychedelic Rock as they are know to leap into improvisational jams while on stage. They have also frequently played in front a massive liquid-light show.

"Get Correct" In Sept. 2004 Fake Swedish recorded what was then a demo at Track & Field Recordings in Carrboro, NC it contained nine original songs and a cover of "Jacky" by Jacques Brel The demo was accepted and subsequently released by Demonbeach Records on April, 8th 2005
"Trousers EP" In 2003 Fake Swedish recorded and self-released an Epynonymous EP containing five original songs. It became known as the Trousers EP due to the design of the cover's collage by Ron Liberti The EP is rare and remains self-released. it is only available at Fake Swedish shows
