Faith is George Michael's first solo album which was released in 1987. The album hit number 1 on the Billboard charts and it was the first album by a white solo artist to hit number 1 on the R&B charts. In 2003, the album was ranked number 480 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Faith was ranked 79th in a 2005 survey held by British television's Channel 4 to determine the 100 greatest albums of all time.
