Fairy Tail Members

The members of the guild Fairy Tail are the main characters of the manga "Fairy Tail". This mage guild is unliked by the Magic Council because they often cause a lot of unnecessary trouble during their missions. The guild has many members, but the series only focuses on eight mages.

[edit] Natsu
Natsu (ナツ Natsu) is a flame mage and the main character. He has pink hair and he is a member of the Fairy Tail guild, and is a flame mage. He was raised by a dragon named Igneel, who was like a father to him. Igneel taught Natsu Dragon Slayer, which is magic that is used by dragons. Natsu is quite well known, and has been given the nickname "Salamander" which originally belonged to Igneel. His member's stamp is on his right shoulder. Natsu gets motion sickness when in transportation except when being carried by Happy.
He's currently on a mission along with Lucy, Gray and Erza. He defeated Kageyama and he's fighting Shinigami Eligor of Eisenwald Guild.
Natsu (夏) means "summer" in Japanese.

Lucy (ルーシイ Rūshi) is a mage and, together with Natsu, is the main character of Fairy Tail. She wants to join the Fairy Tail guild so much, that she gets deceived by a slave trader that used charm magic on her to charm her into coming onto his slave ship. After Natsu repays the free meal she purchased him for saving her, he takes her to the guild. Lucy is not only cute, but being a Stellar Spirit mage, she can also summon spirits from another world using Keys of the Gates. Even if the first spirit she called - Aquarius - is rather selfish, it proved to have some strong magical power. All of her summons are representations of constellations. She can also use a whip in battle rather effectively. Her member's stamp is on her right hand.
Summoned Spirits
Gold Keys: The gold keys are very rare, and open the gates of the "Ecliptic Zodiac". Each gold key has the Zodiac symbol of the one it is used to summon on it.
Aquarius: Aquarius is a long haired mermaid with three piercings on each side of her tail. From what is seen about her, she is selfish, has a boyfriend, and apparently dislikes Lucy. She is referred to as "The Water-Bearer"
Cancer: Appears as a slick hair stylist with sunglasses, weilding pairs of scissors and crab-claw shaped hair. He has six large crab-legs that come out of his back. When he was summoned, Happy bet that Cancer ends all of his sentences with kani (crab), but actually, Cancer ends all of his sentences with ebi (shrimp). He is referred to as "The Crab".
Taurus: Taurus is a minotaur with a white and black splotched coat and a nose ring, like that of a bull. He wears a speedo, with gloves with bandages wrapped around his forearms, knee-high boots, a collar with some kind of tag hanging from it, and a strap around his chest to hold his weapon, a giant, two bladed axe. He is a pervert, as when he was first summoned, instead of a traditional greeting, he complimented Lucy's breasts. He is referred to as "The Bull".
Silver Keys: The silver keys are fairly common and can be bought in stores. Each has a small symbol that is descriptive of what it summons.
Crux: Has not appeared yet, is described as "The Southern Cross"
Horologium: Horologium is a large clock with arms, legs, and a face (on the clockface). There is a large enough area inside it for Lucy to hide inside. he is described as "The Clock".
Lyra: Has not appeared yet, is described as "The Lyre".
Nicola the Canis Minor: "Nicola" (renamed Plue by Lucy), is apparently the same Plue from the manga-ka's previous work. Natsu apparently has the ability to understand him.

Happy (ハッピー Happī) is an assistant of Natsu, a cat with some magical power allowing him to speak. He can temporarily grow wings on his back and fly, he can carry one person at a time in this form. He's very close to Natsu and becomes friends with Lucy quickly.
[edit] Mirajane
Mirajane (ミラジェーン Mirajēne) is seen welcoming Lucy in the guild hall in chapter 2. She apparently uses water based magic and is first shown in chapter 1 as being Fairy Tail's main selling point, as a magazine pin-up. She can also transform into other people, as seen in chapter 2 when she transforms into a man's wife to scare him.

Makarofu (マカロフ Makarofu), also called "Master", seems to be the eldest in the guild. Has the ability to grow into a gigantic shadow creature, contrary to his small stature. He, like Natsu, can control flame. His name is also romanized to 'Makarov'.

Loki (ロキ Roki) is a member of the Fairy Tail guild. As seen in chapter 2, he is very flirtatious with attractive women. He wears some type of magical ring. He was top ranked "Mage you want to have as your boyfriend". The character somewhat resembles Ichigo from the manga Bleach in appearance. He tries to flirt with Lucy but after knowing that she's a Stellar Spirit mage in Chapter 10, he decides to forget it and 'broke' up with her. Mirajane said that something must have happened to him with a similiar female Stellar Spirit mage. She also mention that he once tried to flirt with Erza, but nearly got himself killed by her.

Kana Alberona (カナ・アルベローナ Kana Aruberōna) is a member of the Fairy Tail guild, an attractive woman with a short temper that seems to use some type of card magic. She is seen enjoying an entire barrel of ale in chapter 2. Her member stamp is next to her bellybutton.
[edit] Gray Fullbuster
Gray Fullbuster (グレイ Gurei) member of the Fairy Tail guild, is seen comically "losing" his shorts in chapter 2 when he meets Lucy. Can produce ice type of magic from his hands, which could be why Natsu and Gray do not get along. His member stamp is underneath his collarbone.

Elfman (エルフマン Erufuman) always encourages people to fight with their fists, presumably because he can turn his into stone. His member stamp is on his neck.
[edit] Erza Scarlet
According to Happy and Mirajane, she is a very strong mage in Fairy Tail and wears an armoured suit. Erza appears to be a very strict person, often criticizing the bad behaviour and habits of the other guild members, causing most members to apologise for fear that they might invoke her wrath. She likes people who answers quickly to her questions. Her strength is so great that even strong mages such as Natsu and Gray fear her. In fact, Natsu and Gray fear her so much that they pretend to get along in her presence even though they normally can't stand each other. Despite her great strength, she recruits Natsu and Gray for her next mission. Mirajane comments about that team being the strongest to be formed in the Fairy Tail Guild. Happy said that Erza's magic is beautiful because it causes a huge amount of blood to spill from her opponents.
- Her strongest magic so far consists in a transformation in an armoured knight, surrounded by many swords, which are thrown against opponents.
On her current mission, after defeating the minor member of Eisenwald Guild, she's fighting Shinigami Eligor and was wounded by his magic.
