Fairfield, Hamilton

Fairfield is a suburb to the northeast of central Hamilton. It is bordered by the Waikato River to the west, Chartwell to the north, Fairview Downs to the east and Claudelands to the South.
A diverse mix of state housing and houses bordering on mansions, the area experienced rapid growth in the 1950s and 60s.
It is home to Fairfield College (state high school), as well as two private high schools - St Paul's Collegiate School and Diocesan School for Girls.
Fairfield Bridge, named for the suburb to which it links to Eastern Hamilton is its most well known landmark.
