Faggeta Lekoma

Faggeta Lekoma is one of the 105 woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Agew Awi Zone, Faggeta Lekoma is bordered on the south by Banja, on the west by Guangua, on the north by Dangila, and on the east by the Mirab Gojjam Zone. Towns and cities in Faggeta Lekoma include Addis Kidame and Faggeta.

Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 132,925, of whom 67,216 were males and 65,709 were females; 7,756 or 5.83% of its population are urban dwellers, which is less than the Zone average of 11.4%. With an estimated area of 610.63 square kilometers, Faggeta Lekoma has an estimated population density of 217.7 people per square kilometer, which is greater than the Zone average of 155.7.[1]
