[edit] Copyright Violation
For proof of the copyright of fixtures, see here and here.
In response to Zzyzx11, I'm fairly certain the Feist case doesn't apply. The Premier League and Football DataCo don't dispute that they can't copyright results, as those are public information. Fixtures, however, fall within the "expressive content" clause since the PL can change them if they see fit. Also, the US Supreme Court doesn't have jurisdiction over a British company. If Wikipedia was only available in the US you might have an argument that English copyrights do not apply, but that's obviously not the case. - Pal 16:44, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Table
I think the table should tally not just the september, but up through September. It's more useful to have what the table was like at the end of the month for the league. Maybe there should be two?? --Jaysscholar 17:12, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- I added both. Aesthically, I thnk they should be in two columns, but I forget how to do that in wiki. --Jaysscholar 18:00, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Round 2 vs Round 5
If you look int he history, the livpool vs newcast match is labeled at round 2. if you go and look at round 2, livpool n newcastle did not play. so was this match a postponed and finally played today?? cuz they both have week 6 matches scheduled. don't think they would have 2 week 6 games. --Jaysscholar 06:01, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- According this page Liverpool Vs Newcastle match was moved because of clash with Champions League match -> (Fixture Changes)--Tirupraveen 17:19, 23 September 2006 (IST)
Yes- this match originally clashed with Liverpool's Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg match versus Maccabi Haifa. Co-incidentally, it also clashed with Newcastle's UEFA Cup qualifier.Ross1 13:49, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

- So it's a Week 2 match then? Shoul the label be changed? --Jaysscholar 23:10, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Due to mean to say create a new section with Label Round 2 and keep the current chronological position? --Tirupraveen 08:59, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] European Qualification/Relegation Spots
I'm once again removing the notes since they are both irrelevant and misleading. It is inaccurate to say that "at the end of the month certain teams had CL eligilbility." These spots aren't determined until the end of the season. There is no reason I can think of for suggesting that being in fifth place at the end of September has any bearing whatsoever on European qualification. The way it was written any person who stumbled upon this page and doesn't closely follow the FAPL might think those are the actual qualifiers, which is obviously misleading. - Pal 16:10, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm ... good point. the "at the end of the month" might throw some off. Good job Pal --Jaysscholar 02:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
