The 1960 FA Cup Final took place on May7, 1960 at Wembley Stadium and was won by Wolverhampton Wanderers over Blackburn Rovers by a score of 3 - 0. Wolverhampton Wanderers were favourites having won the English football league 2 seasons in a row and finishing the 1959-60 season in second place pipped at the post by a single point by Burnley. Blackburn Rovers on the other hand had not had a great season finishing that same league season in 17th place in only the second back in top flight football.
