Ezatolah Entezami (in Persian: عزت‌الله انتظامی), Actor, Born 1924, Tehran, Iran. Graduated from Theatre and Cinema School in Hanover, Germany (1958) and then from FFATU (1972). The father of film composer Majid Entezami, started his career on stage in 1941 and in movies since 1969 with Darius Mehrjui’s admired classic film, 'The Cow', which received the Golden Hugo in Chicago Film Festival (1971). He’s known as the most prominent actor in Iranian cinema with his peculiar acting in leading roles. His roles for famous directors such as Darius Mehrjui (8 films), Nasser Taqvaee (1 film), Ali Hatami (4 films), Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Behrouz Afkhami and Rakhshan Bani-Etemad has brought some important works for him and Iranian cinema. He’s been awarded Crystal Phoenix twice for Grand Cinema and The Day of Angel from Intl. Fajr Film Festival. His work and acomplishments were recently recognized in Iran cultural center in Paris (October 2006).
