Eythorne

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eythorne is a very small, beautiful village of about 600 homes, located 6.3 miles NNW of Dover in Kent. that holds many historical attributes. Situated a few miles away from Dover beach it offers so many articles of evidence of the war, and although a quiet area it homes many older people who were victims and heroes of the war.

Closely in touch with neighbouring village Shepherdswell, together they provide a historical trip that can show the area under the influence of the war.

Eythorne Baptist Church is over 450 years old and one of the first (if not the first) Baptist Church in the UK.

The village is on the East Kent Railway, a heritage railway.
