[edit] Features

Much like IrfanView or Adobe Bridge, Exif Harvester presents thumbnails representing a series of photos. The user can then select the files he or she is interested in, and create reduced versions of the files, a web page, or view a report of Exif metadata.

In the past this type of information - lens used, lighting levels, and so on - was extremely difficult to compile. This information is "harvested" and made available in XML, HTML, or CSV formats.[1]

Building thumbnail images in the process is optional, however because the application will use these thumbs when creating web pages, it's somewhat popular for creating albums for private study.

[edit] Development

Exif Harvester is Windows software, written for the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Unlike monolithic applications ( Photoshop for example ) that can perform a job from start to finish, Exif Harvester takes a more modular approach; it was designed to specialize in a particular task and fit easily into a variety of different workflows.
