[edit] Thanks!
Thank you for welcoming me. I did come here before to add info in one of the subjects, but it was a long while back. Anyway, it is good to come here to add my knowledge to my favorite topics. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rockies77 (talk • contribs) .
- Sure, no problem! I agree, it's lots of fun. Feel free to send me a message in the future, and remember to sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). Thanks! EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 05:12, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] You have new messages
No one should go without a "new messages" box for that long. :) Again, congrats, and be sure to enjoy your well-deserved post-graduation vacation! :D Sango123 03:51, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well, congratulations on the degree Eric. What are you planning? More study, masters? pHd? job? Regards, Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 03:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC).

- I guess I'll post here, for anyone curious. I'm planning at the moment to get a job, likely with the National Weather Service. No idea where yet, but the move will likely be advertised by appropriate Wikibreak tags and changes to my userpage, hopefully sometime in the next month or two, though it's possible it will be a little longer than that. I suppose grad school will always be an option down the line, but I don't currently have the motivation for it. :oP Anyway, thanks to everyone, and a preemptive thanks to anyone else who chooses to post here. :o) EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 04:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My RfA
Hello, EWS23/Archive 6, and thank you for the supportive vote and kind words on my recent RfA! With a final vote of 84/1/4, I have now been entrusted with the mop, bucket and keys. I will be slowly acclimating myself to my new tools over the next months, but welcome any and all feedback and suggestions on how I might be able to use them to help the project. Thanks again! - Kukini 17:04, 13 June 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] Nathaniel Bar-Jonah
Great work on that article. Dweller 20:19, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message. It could still use a fair amount of work, as there is a decent amount of information out there that can be used, especially in the profile link I already have in the "references" section. Feel free to expand it based on that link, or other reliable sources you can find. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 20:24, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Happy Birthday
Hello friend. I wish you a very happy birthday. Yesterday, I could not come to wish you as I was getting late. BTW, I learnt of the same from Wikipedia:Esperanza. All the best for the coming year! --Bhadani 12:13, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! It was actually the one-year anniversary of my first edits on Wikipedia, but thank you very much all the same. :o) EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 22:59, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Awareness
You may like to show your involvment in this project with a userbox I've created and saved into my userspace for now. It's likely to change (and indeed you are most welcome to try and improve it), so it's probably best not to subst it for now. The code you need is {{User:Xyrael/Templates/User WikiProject Awareness}}; thanks for your continued interest in this project. --Xyrael T 21:25, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome back, dear Eric!
Welcome back, sweet Eric! I hope everything went well in your Wikibreak, and that you stay for a very loooong time with us now! Here, sit with me - have a cold Coke, make yourself comfortable and tell me what you did in your vacation ;) Btw, I really like your new sig - then again, I always liked to sign with green ink, so I guess I'm biased ;) A great welcoming hug! Phædriel ♥ tell me - 04:04, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the warm welcome back, dear Sharon. *hugs back* Anyway, my vacation...first and foremost, it was good to get away from the encyclopedia for a week, even though I did miss it; I should probably make myself have a mandatory vacation once every few months, just to make sure I don't burn out. Anyway, not sure how serious you were about wanting to know about my vacation, but I'm going to tell you anyway, complete with wikilinks. :oP
- I went down to Portland, Oregon (via Amtrak Cascades) to visit my girlfriend and attend her commencement ceremony. I spent a week down there and we did many things including visiting the Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site, going on a yacht on the Columbia River, visiting the Tillamook Cheese Factory, camping near Garibaldi, Oregon, and playing many games of Apples to Apples, Mental Floss, and spades (in which we always defeated the opposing team). All in all it was a good trip, but I'm happy to be back in Seattle and back on Wikipedia. :o) </overlinking>
- Anyway, thanks again for your reply, and always feel free to send me a message (either via my talk page or email) if you ever need support, advice, reassurance, a good conversation, a hug, a Coke, or anything else I've forgotten to list here. :o)

[edit] About a 'nonsense' edit
Hi. You sent me a message and warned me for a 'nonsense' edit or something to that effect. But I dont actually know what was edited on the page, or why it was considered 'nonsense'... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 60.224.51.71 (talk • contribs) .
- Thanks for your message. The edit was not necessarily made by you, but was made by someone using the same IP address. The edit can be found here. You can avoid receiving messages not directed to you by getting a username, which comes with many other benefits. Let me know if you have any further questions about editing Wikipedia! [edit] Thanks
Thanks for being so speedy in reverting vandalism to my user page. I didn't even know it happened until I checked the history. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 20:06, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy Delete
Hi, I looked into the requirement for speedy delete and I believe that Resurrection Life Church meets
- Art 7: Unremarkable people or groups/vanity pages. An article about a real person, group of people, band, or club that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject.
Thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Riadlem (talk • contribs) .
- Thanks for your message. You may very well be right that the church isn't notable enough for its own article, but I tend to err on the side of caution, especially for articles that have been around so long (more than a year for this one). I'll send the article to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, so there can at least be a discussion before it's deleted. Thanks! EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 22:45, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Elections statement
Your statment for the Esperanza elections really made me smile. It was very good, and I'm glad to see that you're running! Lots of luck when they start! -- Natalya 22:04, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User:dead Zaku
Because I made a careless mistake: it showed up as a new page, and in undue haste I took it for an empty article rather than a user page, which, although pointless, clearly should not be deleted. Sorry.--Anthony.bradbury 01:22, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Admin coaching
Thanks for signing up! You'll be coaching Deryck Chan, with your fellow coach Kimchi.sg. Let me know if you have any questions, or when you're ready for someone else. Cheers, Petros471 13:35, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've started the page. Our progress can start anytime. However bear in mind that I come from the UTC+8 time zone, thus there might be a big lag in the transfer of information. Thanks ^^ --Deryck C. 07:08, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:CSD
No problem, and a fair question. I was on the phone at the time, and wasn't giving the article my full 100% attention. I've been known to make mistakes before, and decided in this case, to tag the article accordingly, and if my suspicions were correct, it'd be deleted anwyay :) Thanks for your alertness. -- Longhair 06:19, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- No harm done. Double checking is sometimes a good thing. When wrong, it takes more work to cleanup once the dust storm settles. Drop me a line anytime. One rarely needs an excuse ;) Congratulations on being made an administrator also. I'm sorry I missed your moment. -- Longhair 06:24, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I see...
I didn't know about that. I am still new to putting information I thought it would be revelant to the subjects at hand. It is not easy for me to discern whether it is neutral or not, when it comes to information I'm interested in. Anyway, thanks for the warning. Rockies77 10:27, 27 June 2006 (UTC)rockies77
[edit] Good luck
Hello. I am just posting to say good luck to you in the upcoming Esperanza elections, and I shall enjoy campaigning against you - you are a worthy opponent, as it were! All the best, and may the best man/woman/thing win! Kingfisherswift 16:41, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Yeah, Summer II classes started (I skipped Summer I), so between that and full-time work, I've been plenty busy lately. I'm still checking in all the time, doing edits if needed, I just don't have the hours and hours in a day to contribute anymore. Things will get less hectic in the fall, though. How've you been? How's IRC? Talk to you soon! – DakPowers (Talk) 12:26, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
