Ewhurst is a civil parish in the Rother District of East Sussex, England; it is centred on the village of Ewhurst Green, which is located 10 miles (16km) north of Hastings in the valley of the River Rother. Ewhurst Green contains a pub, but not much else. The churchyard has an interesting collection of unusual trees (for a churchyard). Several public footpaths go through Ewhurst, as it is quite a scenic spot. The view towards Bodiam Castle from Ewhurst Green is superb. The Parish contains several garden centres, including Bodiam Nursery (on the border with the village of Bodiam, which was featured in the Times Gardening supplement. Bodiam station is the final stop on the Kent & East Sussex Railway, a privately owned steam railway line from Tenterden.
