[edit] Overview
The company is a vertically integrated holding with high self-sufficiency in iron ore and excessive coking coal production, which allows the company to be one of the largest participants on the domestic coking coal market through its affiliates. Evraz also controls some metal trading and logistic assets. Based on 2005 results, the metal segment represents some 95 percent of Group revenue. On June 2, 2005 Evraz Group floated some 8.3 percent of its shares in the form of GDR in London. The company was priced at $14.50 per GDR implying an equity value of $5.15 billion.
Evraz' European offices are located in Luxembourg.
[edit] Evraz Group Shareholders Structure
Evraz Group was formed by contributing some 96 percent of the shares of Mastercroft, the holding company through which Evraz owns its subsidiaries, into a newly created company. Mastercroft was owned by Crosland Global Ltd, which is in turn controlled by Evraz beneficial shareholders. Approximately 82.7 percent of the stake in the company remains under the control of the core shareholders, while about 14% of the stock is traded on the London Stock Exchange.
