Evilseed is the name of an evil character from the Masters of the Universe series.

[edit] 1980's

In the 1980's cartoon, Evilseed had given the farmers seeds that eventually grew into vines and caused the Dam of the Ancients to break enough to flood the Fertile Plains. Luckily, He-Man rescued the farmers there. When a farmer described the culprit, Skeletor was the suspect and soon the Royal Palace is covered with vines and it's inhabitants are all taken prisoner. When it wasn't him, Evilseed made himself known. Skeletor and He-Man had to work together to defeat him as He-Man creates a giant ice ball from Ice Mountain and Skeletor destroys it, thus defeating Evilseed.

[edit] 2002

Evilseed appeared in the 2002 cartoon where he was an enemy of Moss Man.

He is first seen imprisoned in the Root Cellar when Orko stumbles into it looking for Moss Man to help the Royal Palace's garden. He tricks Orko into thinking he's Moss Man and gives him seeds that eventually created vines that captured everyone in the Royal Palace and freed Evilseed. With the Masters, King Randor, and Queen Marlena as captives, Evilseed begins his revenge on them for gorging plant life. When the real Moss Man appeared at the Royal Palace's garden, Orko learned that Evilseed gave him those seeds. When they went to free the captives, Orko unwittingly reveals the power within Castle Grayskull and Evilseed ventures towards there with He-Man and Moss Man in pursuit. He-Man and Battle Cat battle one of Evilseed's evil plant monsters and win as Evilseed is imprisoned again.

Later on, Skeletor frees Evilseed to join his Council of Evil where Evilseed uses a dangerous underwater plant to capture Ram-Man and Man-E-Faces. When He-Man went to rescue the captive Masters and defeated the three giants, he was ambushed by Evilseed whose vines strangle him and Battle-Cat and Count Marzo turns the vines to stone. When it came to the battle at Castle Grayskull, the Masters were freed by Moss Man and Evilseed fled.
