Evil River

Evil River is an announced posthumous publication of writings by Beat Generation author William S. Burroughs, who died in 1997. Previously announced for publication on several occasions up to 2005, the work was announced for publication by Viking Press on October 30, 2006 (ISBN 0670813516). However the current Amazon listing for the book now lists a release date of February 28, 2007.
Reportedly Evil River is an autobiographical work, edited by Burroughs' longtime assistant, James Grauerholz, which was referenced in the posthumous compilation of Burroughs' works entitled Word Virus.
