Evil Nine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tom Beaufoy and Pat Pardy first combined skills as Evil Nine in 1998 and were quickly recognised as a quality DJ/Producer duo by Adam Freeland who signed them to his label.
Their punk rock, DIY attitude, epitomised by their remix of Ils' "Music", stirred up the breaks scene. Their love of innovation and ability to tweak the breaks format, injecting punk, house and their own raw vibe into the mix, is rapidly establishing them as the new golden boys as they forge a fresh path.
As well as playing in Europe and the U.S. they have a residency at Urban Gorilla in Sheffield, Audio in Brighton and their debut album 'You Can Be Special Too' was released in the Summer of 2004. This featured a collaboration with Aesop Rock on the song Crooked.
