Evgeni Aldonin

Evgeni Aldonin (born January 22, 1980 in Kiev, USSR) is a Russian soccer player who plies his trade with CSKA Moscow. The defensive midfielder makes defense his top priority and he is strong in the tackle with a rugged nature. Aldonin started out with SC Rotor Volgograd.

He played for Russia in the 2004 European Football Championship.

On the 15th of August, 2006 Aldonin was selected by Russia's coach Guus Hiddink to be the captain of the National team for the friendy against Latvia which took place on the August 16, 2006. In a recent visit to Australia he was trecorded saying things about the toilets in Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
