Donnie Rogers is a New York- based producer who produced hits for Ruben Studdard, Wild Orchid, Christina Aguilera, and new-comer Rihanna's debut album. He writes and produces with his producer-family friend Carl Sturken who helped build the career of Barbadian singer Rihanna.
Donnie Rogers and Carl Sturken had been writing and producing since the mid 80's, with artists such as Cheryl Lynn and Brother Beyond. Their break-through came in 1989 when they wrote and produced Donny Osmond's comeback single Soldier Of Love, which made number 2 in the US Billboard charts.
Following the success with Donny Osmond they formed an R&B group called Rhythm Syndicate with John Nevin, Rob Mingrino and Kevin Cloud who all came from Connecticut. Carl Sturken & Evan Rogers, as well as providing vocals for the group, also wrote their debut hit called P.A.S.S.I.O.N, which made number 2 in the US Billboard charts in 1991. Following two unsuccessful albums and a few more less successful singles Sturken & Rogers left the group to concentrate on writing and producing. In 1998 they wrote N'Syncs hit (God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time On You (number 8 in US Billboard charts).
They enjoyed UK chart success the same year witing and producing Boyzone's number 1 hit All That I Need from their album Where We Belong. Other UK hits they have written include I'm Into You (Martine McCutcheon), How Do You Want Me To Love You (911) and Power Of A woman (Eternal). More recently, artists they have worked with include Christina Aguilera, Christina Milian, Rod Stewart, Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson.
Donnie Rogers also is known as Ian Aloysius Wood's Hatchback pocketrocket's Co-pilot. While he is not in school Donnie Rogers is on a paintball team called Capitol Punishment, they are the best in the world and his team is awsome, just like him!
