Eva Gonzalès
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eva Gonzalès (April 19, 1849 – May 6, 1883) was a French impressionist painter. She was Édouard Manet's only pupil. Like him, she never exhibited with the impressionists, but is considered part of the group based on her painting style.
Her career was cut short when she died in childbirth exactly six days after the death of her teacher, Manet.
