Eurotiomycetes are a class of ascomycetes within the Pezizomycotina clade.
Some members eurotiomycetes were previously grouped in the class Plectomycetes.

The naming system (nomenclature) for this particular class is particularly tricky, with one particular species having both the anamorph, and teleomorph names used in reference to them.
- e.g. Anamorph Form= Penicillium; Teleomorph Form= Talaromyces Eupenicillium

- Produce a cleistothecium through which they distribute their spores.
