European Cup 1990-91

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The season 1990-91 of the European Cup football club tournament was won for the first time by FK Red Star on penalties in the final against Olympique de Marseille. This was only the second time that an Eastern European side won the competition, after Steaua Bucureşti of Romania. It was also the last tournament to be solely knock-out based, with a group stage added for the next season.
