The European Chemicals Agency will be an agency of the European Union which manages the technical, scientific and administrative aspects of the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) system. It will be sited in Helsinki.

The Agency will be headed by an Executive Director and will have a secretariat which is planned to grow gradually from around hundred people in 2007 up to a staff of around four hundred in 2010.
