Europe's 100 Most Influential
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Europe's 100 Most Influential is a voting via the internet to search for the person with the greatest influence on the European society and identity.
The voting wants to be some kind of counterweight to the national votings for the greatest person. It wants to make the history of the different European countries a bit less closed.
In the first phase, people can nominate people who:
- had an influence on (a part of) the European civilisation and/or identity;
- the majority of the influential contribution must have been made prior to the year 2000.
Nominations can be made in 6 categories:
- Arts & Culture
- Economics
- Politics & Monarchy
- Science & Knowledge
- Society
- Sports
