The show was broadcast on the Nickelodeon television network as part of the Nick Jr programming block, from 1989 to 1995. Repeats were shown as part of Nick Jr up until March 1999, when it was drafted to Noggin. Eureeka's Castle aired on Noggin up until April 5, 2004. It was written by horror writer R. L. Stine.
