[edit] Ethnic Backgroud

Hi! Mr. Melnyk is listed in the category "Jewish-Canadians" but he is also claimed to be a Ukrainian Canadian by some one that page and this article doesn't say anything about being Ukrainian. Does anyone have any more info on this? I think he may be descended from Jews from Ukraine, but the term "Ukrainian Canadian" usually refers to people who are ethnically Ukrainian, rather than people from other backgrounds that are from the territory of Ukraine. Does anyone know how he self-identifies? Anyway I'm not opposed to putting him in the Category of Ukrainian Canadians, but he may not be the strongest example to put on the main page.

If anyone knows about this, please let me know. Kevlar67 09:55, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

I myself never heard the part about being Jewish-Canadian. It's possible??? I've definantly heard the part about his parents being Ukrainian-Canadian though.
Above are a few articles about Mr. Melnyk in which they do state Ukrainian heritage but no mention of his religious background. CaribDigita 12:17, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ottawa Senators franchise partnering with Barbados

This is some of the preliminary stuff taking place between Eugene Melnyk and various Barbados officials. Looks like Barbados will be rooting for the Ottawa Senators from now on.  ;-)

[edit] Tourette syndrome benefactor

Every bio I could find on this fellow claims he is a benefactor of the Canadian Tourette Syndrome Association. But, there's no such thing. It's either the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada, or the Tourette Syndrome Association of the USA. I changed it to the Canadian entry, but it's not at all clear from his many online bios which one it actually is: if he's a benefactor, one would hope he would know the correct name of the organization. Maybe someone can clear that up. Sandy (Talk) 21:44, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
