[edit] PTC_GZ restoration

To have it restored, you'd have to prove that they're notable in some way. I know they're significant to you, but what makes them encyclopedic?--Urthogie 08:52, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Musicians can only be considered notable if they're one of the following:
  • Popular throughout the world
  • A founder of a notable (sub)genre
  • They had a notable song
  • They've been mentioned in the national or international press.
The reason the article got deleted was because there were no authoritative sources verifying its existence. Even if you were to find an authoritative source, like your local newspaper, mentioning them, you'd also have to prove that anyone besides your local area has ever heard of them/cares about them. (see above guidelines I listed)
Also, contrary to popular belief, wikipedia isn't a place for everything. It actually aims to be an encyclopedia, that covers notable topics that affect people throughout nations and the world. Feel free to start a wikicity at wikicities.com-- they'll allow you to start a wiki about your friend(s) there. --Urthogie 08:45, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
