[edit] Gameplay

[edit] Register

People interested in playing must first register an account. To do this, new users head to the official Eudemons Online website. There they must agree to the Terms and Conditions before entering their details.

[edit] Characters

Once players have an account and have downloaded the game, they can now play. Players first must choose a server in which to play. Each server allows only one character. On the character selection screen, players have 6 choices:

  • Warrior (male)
  • Warrior (female)

Warriors are very skilled in melee combat and good defenders.

  • Mage (male)
  • Mage (female)

Mages are fairly weak at melee attacks but they excel at ranged attacks.

  • Paladin (male)
  • Paladin (female)

So far, Paladins are unplayable characters.

There are only minor differences between male and female characters. Males can only give roses to females and not receive them. Females can only receive roses from males and not offer them. Also both sexes have their own set of hairstyles and avatars.

[edit] The Eudemon System

When starting up, characters begin with 2 Eudemons. A Eudemon is like a pet that can be trained, taught and evolved into higher forms. They are creatures similar in concept to Pokemon. Just as the player can gain experience points to increase character levels, so can the Eudemons. They are at their lowest form and begin at level 1 when the player begins his/her journey for the first time. Once they reach level 20 they can be evolved. Most Eudemons look different in their evolved form but there are few whose appearance remains the same. Players can evolve their Eudemon again at level 40 but this time if they wish to do so, players must go to the game's Market and place the Eudemon into a special evolution machine.

Players can obtain new pets to party with by either buying them from the Eudemon shepherd in Cronus City from 500 000 gold each or finding their eggs after killing monsters. 8 Eudemons can be carried in the party list at any time. There are Eudemon warehouses situated in the first 3 cities and Market where up to 5 Eudemons can be stored in each one. Also, players can carry 6 unhatched eggs at any time. There are also special Eudemons that can only be obtained at certain events or have to be bought from other players who will most likely sell them at a high price.

There are 2 ways to hatch a new Eudemon egg:

  • Players can place the egg in their personal hatcher. Eggs will take only an hour of game time to hatch and the new Eudemon is born. Only 3 eggs at a time may be made to hatch this way. After doing a special quest, players can unlock a fourth slot to place an egg. There is also a future possibility of having 6 slots total.
  • Eggs can be left in the Eudemon hatchery, located from the same areas as the Eudemon warehouse. Here, up to 5 eggs can be placed which can take up to 12 hours of real time. This is ideal for players who are retiring from playing for the day and wish to play later.

Eudemons can also be taught skills. One of the groceries in Cronus City hold crystals which can be bought and used to give your Eudemons new skills. Another grocery in Elven city contains an XP skill for mage-type Eudemons.

If a Eudemon dies in combat, its ghost will still follow you. It cannot attack monsters nor be attacked. To bring it back to life, players must kill monsters and the souls will give your Eudemon new life.

[edit] Evolution

At level 20 a Eudemon is able to evolve to a higher form and, depending on what type it is, can change its appearance. First evoluton is important as it verifies the pets attributes, quality and initial statistics. Pets now also be used as minors in main attribute composition.

At level 40 a Eudemon can evolve again into its highest form. Once again, its appearance may change depending on the Eudemon's type. This evolution is also important. Pets can now be used as minors in senior composition, obtain a special gift, or even turn into a thunder race Eudemon.

[edit] Composing

[edit] Monsters, Experience and Leveling

The way for a character and their Eudemons to increase in attributes is to battle monsters. Every time a player attacks a monster they will gain experience points. The tougher monsters give more experience. The character's experience bar is situated at the bottom of the screen horizontally and the Eudemon's bar is blue in their avatar. When the bar is full the character will gain a level higher. The higher their level, the better the armor, weapon and skill can be used. Besides killing monsters, players can gain experience by using ExperienceBalls to level up, and Eudemons can make use of EudemonCrystals to give them a boost of leveling experience. EudemonCrystals come in different ratings ranging from 10 to 1 900 points. The higher the rating, the more experience the Eudemon receives, and the more levels it will gain.

[edit] Mentor and Teamwork

A player can be trained by mentors, who is another player that helps increase your stats. You may only have 1 mentor, but mentors may have more than 1 apprentice.

[edit] Player Killing System(PK)

This game incorporates the PK system that Conquer Online uses. This allow players to PK anybody they wish. However, there are places where PK is forbidden. Similar to Conquer Online, if a player kills another player in a city or near a guard, the attacking player will be killed by the guard or otherwise, killed by other players. For each player killed, the killer gains PK points, and if they kill too much, the player will be sent to jail when killed by another player or a guard.

[edit] XP System

Eudemons Online has a special XP system. It incorporates an XP bar that gradually fills no matter what the player is doing. When the bar fills completely, a pyrotechnic sequence will insue and the player can choose an XP skill to use, which is more powerful than the player's normal skills. The player must choose the skill quickly, for when the flames on the XP bar die out, the XP skill is lost until the bar fills again. When the player chooses the spell, he/she can use it to kill as many monsters as he/she can until the XP time runs out. If the player is in a team, all members gain extra experience.
