Borne (52°18′N 6°45′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Borne, and lies about 5 km northwest of Hengelo.

In 2001, the town of Borne had 18434 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 4.6 km2, and contained 7351 residences.[1] The statistical area "Borne", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 18740.[2]
