The town centre (dark green) and the statistical district (light green) of Abcoude in the municipality of Abcoude.

Abcoude (52°16′N 4°58′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Abcoude, and lies about 13 km southeast of Amsterdam.

In 2001, the town of Abcoude had 6431 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.5 km2, and contained 2678 residences.[1] The statistical area "Abcoude", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 6620.[2]
