Vercelli is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Vercelli in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 km northeast of Turin. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 44,967 and an area of 79.9 km2.[1]

Vercelli borders the following municipalities: Asigliano Vercellese, Borgo Vercelli, Caresanablot, Desana, Lignana, Olcenengo, Palestro, Prarolo, Salasco, Sali Vercellese, San Germano Vercellese, Villata, Vinzaglio.
