Ethel Walker School

The Ethel Walker School is a girls' school in Simsbury, Connecticut.

Founded in 1911 the school was one of the first college preparatory schools for girls in the United States. As of 2006, 244 students (98 boarders and 146 day students, including almost 70 Middle School students) attend Walker's, grades 6 to 12.

The school claims that the students find a caring environment designed for girls and filled with opportunities for discovering and developing their intellectual, artistic, athletic and leadership talents.

Ethel Walkers is recognized for its World class Equestrian program with students competing at National & International level.

The Ethel Walker School's slogan is that it "offers girls a powerful educational experience — the opportunity to emerge".
