[edit] About Me

Hello all! I'm just a high school senior from Haddonfield, New Jersey. I'll get a slew of userboxes and stuff up here when I feel like it, but for now I could list a few of my interests in and out of Wikipedia:

Allow me to say, first of all, that I am inclusionist of the strictest variety and daresay that even some entirely non-notable things should be allowed to pass through the filter: for all we know, Wikipedia can make them notable; let us never forget that solemn fact. Because of this matter, unless it comes to clearly inflammatory or POV material I am for the most part against any sort of exclusion. I regard it as regressive and generally contrary to the motives of Wikipedia, recanting upon the ages-old adage that Wikipedia is not paper and thus we should be as free to explore it as possible.

Secondly, I feel as if we are not adhering as much to objective standards of assessing matters rather focusing too strongly on what major media outlets say about a matter. Let us face it: no station is entirely neutral, and to expect Wikipedia to be is a bit too ideal for reality. However, at the very least, we should reject such notions as one that I saw in the debate about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his placement in the category of anti-Semitic people as based on "not whether he is an anti-Semite, but rather whether third parties say he is an anti-Semite" (paraphrased). If that is not complete and utter bias I do not know what is.

That is all for now, and I hope to be active even if it is as a WikiGnome.
