Talk:Estella Taylor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Before someone gets crazy about deleting this again, let me note something somewhat important that the main two conversants in the last deletion discussion seemed not to know. Saying that "all Britons" are in line to succeed to the British Throne, or that the line of succession contains thousands of non-notable people, is rubbish. The line of succession is clearly laid out in the Act of Settlement 1701, which limits it to the (legitimate, non-Catholic) descendants of the Electress Sophia. Currently that's only about 900 people, as line of succession to the British Throne shows. My point is that those in line to the British throne are a rather select group (900 people is nothing compared to the population of Britain). So the person who is 29th holds a great distinction indeed! The fact that Estella holds no title is also quite irrelevant; neither do the Queen's grandchildren Peter and Zara Phillips, who are 10th and 11th in line respectively (ahead of 4 British HRHs), and no one would argue that they aren't notable.
