I am a graduate of The University of Wisconsin at Madison with degrees in Genetics and English Literature. While this may initially appear to be a strange combination, they serve me quite well. I have worked for a number of publications, including The Badger Herald, as an editor and copy editor. I also have experience editing scientific journals and conducting scientific research in the field of genetics, primarily in the role of certain membrane proteins in plants.

A great deal of my contributions derive from A-Rank papers and other graded materials from my classes, almost of all of which were presided over by PhDs in their respective fields.

I maintain a website at http://www.ess-art.net/, which features a webcomic in progress and a regularly updated blog.
