Esperanza is holding elections for three seats on the Advisory Council! Those elected will be in Tranche A, and will take the positions of Freakofnurture, Titoxd, and Celestianpower. They will serve a six-month term, until 31 March 2007. If you would like more information on the governance of Esperanza, Wikipedia:Esperanza/Governance should help you with any questions you have. As is the Esperanza usual, the elections will be run by approval voting, so you may vote for as many candidates as you wish. To participate in the elections, you need to have been a part of Esperanza as of 17 September 2006. If you are not sure if this applies to you, feel free to check this list. Candidates may nominate themselves from September 18, 2006 until September 24, 2006 (ending at 23:59). The voting will commence on September 25, 2006, and run until September 30, 2006 (ending at 23:59). All times are UTC.

If you are ineligible to vote, or wish to exempt yourself from voting, you may sign up to be part of the election staff. It would be your job to verify votes, discount any illegal ones and update the tally. Sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) and place yourself in the alphabetical scheme of things. As a note, elections staff are not allowed to vote in the election.
