[edit] Request a coach :: Coaching volunteers :: Update your status
Thank you for your interest in admin coaching. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long! We're in the process of re-organising at the moment and are starting a new system of requests.
New requests should be entered in the following syntax to the bottom of the list:
- #{{user|USERNAME}} <very short comment> ~~~~
Coaches: If you wish, you may contact a user at or near the top of the list, without going through the coordinator. Leave a message at that person's name here, indicating you have contacted that person. If you are coaching him/her, remove that name from this list, then update your status.
Current requestors: Some of these requests are quite old, and we need to know if you are still interested. If you are, copy/paste --''still interested as of ~~~~~'' after your name.

- I hope to become an admin someday... I have been on Wikipedia a while but have only gotten more serious the past couple weeks... ~ clearthought 13:32, 12 July 2006 (UTC) -- Desires coaching end of Dec or Jan '07 [1]
- I started this a while back and I had to back out because of my job, but I have "finshed" my question on here from D-Day. Old "settings" here. Anyway.. that's about it. -- Shane (talk/contrib) 22:23, 15 July 2006 (UTC) -- interested in coaching at a future date
- I have become more of an avid editor recently, so I could do with some coaching to improve my edits. I would like to become an admin someday Lurker talk 14:33, 30 July 2006 (UTC) -- asked if still interested, Dec 12 [2]
- I AM READY TO BE ALL I CAN BE SIR!! I have a lot of time and love Wikipedia. I am going for adminship at the horizon, and want to do as much as posisble. — X [Mac Davis] (SUPERDESK|Help me improve) --Wants a coach in March or April '07 [3]

- I'd like some more guidance on how to go about using my time and skills more effectively on wikipedia. There are some things that seem to go over my head in this internet community.......IMHO, it's not as much of being the ideal admin as being the ideal wikipedian. I'd like to be confident in my savoir-faire of wikipedia before taking another shot at adminship. You can take a look at my improvement page and my failed RfA for some insight about where I need help. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 03:06, 5 August 2006 (UTC) -- asked if still interested, Dec 12 [6]

- Qrc2006 04:09, 8 September 2006 (UTC)", i could definatly use some help, id love to me an admin
- I had requested some time ago, but when my time came, I was on a rather long wikibreak. I'm not sure if I look ahead to adminship, but I am certainly interested in becoming a better, more well-rounded editor in Wikipedia making value contributions not just through editing but also in times of conflicts and other issues. —Mirlen 04:30, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- This sounds great, although I will have some time to wait.Chili14 16:31, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- I tried an RfA in September, but I didn' have enough edits. One of the commenters on the RfA suggested Admin coaching - sounds like a great idea! —SaxTeacher (talk) 02:12, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- I attempted a RFA that failed a couple of weeks ago. I would like to attempt another RFA in a couple of months. I got refered from editor review, and have been participating more in reverting, afds, and rfas since my last RFA. Hello32020 01:45, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

- I also wish to have an RFA soon, after I get about 2000 edits and have spent at least a year here, so a personal coach would be wonderful, thanks. EagleEyes 13:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- I would like help in how to fight vandalism. I like doing small edits more than big.--Sir james paul 03:03, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Now that I'm nearing 5000 edits, my thoughts are increasingly turning to the mop. Coaching seems to be a good idea to me, so I'd love to have it. Erechtheus 04:56, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- I would just generally like to learn more about improving my contributions to Wikipedia, such as bringing articles up to FA status, etc.. I'm a little busy right now with theater, music and school, but by the time I get to the top of this list, I'm sure I'll have plenty of time (a few months from now? Hooray for backlogs ;) ) to edit more frequently. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 05:53, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Given the failure of my recent RFA I think admin coaching would be a good way of improving my suitability for adminship if/when I decide to reapply. Cynical 18:34, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Adding myself: by the time I'm near the top I'll be ready for the extra knowledge! — Editor at Large(speak) 22:20, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Been editing for a few months, early (around about April I should be ready) next year I'd like to go for an RFA, but in the meantime I'd like some coaching to become a better editor, and, hopefully, one day a better admin. I'd like to know a bit more about the finer points of Wikipedia, and a bit more about the admin tasks. My edit count. Thanks- CattleGirl talk | e@ | review me! 10:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Started a little while back, creating my own article. I have now found my calling in vandal fighting, but I know there is so much more to learn. Like the others, I want to learn the 'tips and tricks' of wikipedia. Pcbene 01:25, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I started editing properly a few months ago, but I have mostly focused on the background areas of Wikipedia, like maintaining WikiProjects, the community portal etc. and have not really contributed loads to articles and would like some advice concerning articles and getting them to ga and fa status. Thanks. Lcarsdata (Talk) 09:30, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ling.Nut 19:00, 29 October 2006 (UTC) I've only been a Wikipedian for a couple months, but have 5K+ edits. I'm putting my name here because the waiting list is apparently long; by the time my name is called I should have logged considerably more flight time. Am especially interested in clearing out backlogs throughout Wikipedia. --Ling.Nut 19:00, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not looking forward to be an Admin, till the time comes. I still feel, I lack knowledge on lot many things in Wikipedia. I'm willing to learn, if only someone is there to help. Call me when my number comes. If it is long, who knows, I may even hop on to the other side of the table, if I feel better of my capabilities. Cheers. -- Chez (Discuss / Email) • 07:45, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've been on Wikipedia quite awhile now (a year or two, tops), but I'm still rather ignorant of many technical aspects. In particular, I've no idea what it takes to make it to Featured article status, or how to cite references using wiki-tech (that is, anything but putting a link into the main body of the article). Eventually, I'd like to run for adminship, but I'm currently so far removed from wikipolitics that I'd have no idea what is expected of me. I focus mostly on writing articles, but I'd like to learn how to deal effectively with other aspects of Wikipedia. Canæn 07:55, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- I would really like some help on how to help this great encyclopedia. Abeg92 03:16, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I withdrew from my recent RfA after some users brought up the fact that I didn't have sufficient experience with admin-style duties. I hope to put in another RfA as soon as I'm ready, but I need some help and coaching first. I also intend to go for an editor review - is that advisable? (I should have done it before my first RfA, but didn't bother. Walton monarchist89 12:12, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- This is just what I've been looking for! I'd love to become an administrator, primarily to become an integral part of the fight against vandalism. On Wikipedia, I believe that it is inevitable that users either become editors or they become vandal crushers. I want to become the latter, and although I am on the track to eliminating vandalism I need help if I want to become the ultimate vandal-crusher! Although I know wikipedia policy very well, I feel I need tuned on the finer points of adminship and I hope this program can assist me. Cheers. - I've been going around Wikipedia for over a year, and I would also like to become an administrator eventually. I have mostly been working on anti-vandalism work, as well as helping out with various WikiProjects. While I still think anti-vandalism is an important effort, I'm beginning to help write more articles and cleanup the backlog, and I'd appreciate if any admins could guide me on the road towards an RfA. Thanks! –- kungming·2 (Talk) 22:22, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hello, I have been with Wikipedia for quite some time now (nearing one year), but I'm still unsure about how Wikipedia works. I have not corrected any vandalism or reverted any pages (didn't come across them yet), and I don't know what I should do if I were to see them. That, and some other things. I have only about 268 edits, but I'm currently working on a few pages now. I am hoping to get my turn soon, but I can wait. Well, bye for now! Incidentally, what's citing? (Hope I am specific enough) Zacharycrimsonwolf 13:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC) 13:57, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- I would like a coach too. I haven't added my name to the main page; should I do that too? —ShadowHalo 09:13, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think I know much about Wikipedia, but I need more tips than WP:PR can give for featuring articles. I understand the basics: copyediting, grammer, remove redundancies, ect., but I don't know how to proceed from there. I've reverted enough vandalism, but I need to feature a few articles to have a chance with RfA. I really, really would like to be coached, and would be very pleased if someone who knows better than I helps me out. Thank you in advance User:x. | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 17:39, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- I know much about Wikipedia so I think I could be a REAL go Admin. but people think I need either more experience or coaching so that's why I'm here please help me. I'd love to make it as admin. ASAP!! -- Hornetman16 17:55, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
