Hello! You've reached my User Page, probably because I've posted an AfD or because you're involved in the Wikipedia Chemistry Project.

My name is Eric Snyder II. I'm a chemistry teacher at St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, Ohio. As a teacher, my goal in editing Wikipedia is to provide content--especially chemistry content--that is usable by my students. In addition, because of my previous work as a molecular biologist, I'm interested in mol-bio articles, especially those dealing with ion channel and neuroscience.

[edit] What I'm Working On

If you're a chemist, and you're not yet part of the Wikipedia Chemistry Project, you should be. I focus on the more general articles, rather than articles on specific compounds and minutiae. I also work on cleaning up and merging Chemistry articles.

I also spend some time each day going through the newest articles, watching for deletion or speedy deletion candidates. I figure that with the number of useless articles posted every hour, a few minutes helping out with the tagging is worth my time.
