Have to question whether "Paul Keenan" and "Michael de Grussa" should be included as formal members of the band. Eskimo Joe is effectively just made up of Kev, Joel & Stu, as discussed they have included other musicians when on tour and recording but they have always just referred to the band as being a trio (for example at the 2006 ARIA Awards & on their website). No, if they are only in the band on live performances and don't record with the band. [[User:Elevenzeroone|elevenzeroone]] 19:23, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Don't have a citation for it - but I was under the impression that the band was named (indirectly) after the restaurant. I seem to remember them saying something to the effect that they saw an Eskimo Joe's logo on a shirt, and decided to name their band after that, not realising the restaurant actually existed. My memory may be fallable on this point however.Blackjack4124 07:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm almost certain that Eskimo Joe was named after a term Joel's grandma would use to describe any friend of his she'll never really need to know ('Are you hanging out with that Eskimo Joe again?'), as I'm sure they mentioned during a Backstage Pass interview that I've now seen twice on channel 9. I know there's a restaraunt or a clothing store named Eskimo Joe's in America or something (it shows up on Google) but I'm almost certain they weren't named after it. merxeh
