[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Nabateanalphabet.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Nabateanalphabet.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 19:47, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

Please go ahead and delete this image, as I have found it on the web and have uploaded it for a topic temporarily before I do my own version of the images, and I have already uploaded the replacement images, so this image is of no use for the wiki.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Gid_logo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Gid_logo.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Sports in Jordan

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Sports in Jordan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Sports in Jordan. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Amalas =^_^= 17:19, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I shall remove the template now as I believe it isn't practically empty now. It is your decision and you can re-add it if you think it still doesn't satisfy the wikipedia standards. Eshcorp 18:02, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Looks much better now. Thanks for expanding the article! Amalas =^_^= 18:04, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Convex mirror.png

This figure is flawed. Firstly, it doesn't show the direction from which the light comes. This is important, because it is this (and only this) which determines whether the mirror is "convex" or "concave". (In general, the non-reflective surface can be transparent. One can have a "rear-surface" curved mirror.)

Secondly, the focal length, as shown, is incorrect. The distance to the focus and center of curvature are measured from the reflective surface, of course!

Are you able to edit the image, to fix these issues? It's certainly a useful image, otherwise. If you do edit it, please also fix the spelling of "curvature".--Srleffler 05:51, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Sorry I was away, I will try to fix the image as soon as I get the time, because there's many other things to sort out after a while without access, I hope you understand. Eshcorp 10:06, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. That's much better.--Srleffler 14:21, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
