According to this link, Scouting in São Tomé e Príncipe exists and is apparently working toward World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) recognition. São Tomé e Príncipe is one of 35 countries where there is no National Scout Organization which is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement at the present time, but local youth are served by the Escuteiros de São Tomé e Príncipe.

Girl Guides or Girl Scouts started in 1991, but no recent information appears to be available.
